Drinking Water for Life
The Challenge
Communities in Chilakaluripet and surrounding regions relied on unsafe, insufficient water sources. Drought, fluoride contamination, and long walking distances placed immense burden on women, children, and livestock—leading to disease and lost productivity.
AMG’s Intervention
AMG led one of the region’s largest community water infrastructure initiatives—moving beyond short-term tanker supply to permanent, scalable solutions.
What We Did
- Invested ₹7 Crores in drinking water infrastructure
- Constructed 3 large overhead water reservoirs
- Laid pipelines from Nagarjuna Sagar Canal to urban and slum areas
- Built summer storage tanks to ensure year-round availability
- Dug multiple bore-wells in drought-prone villages to ensure safe groundwater access
Impact
- Access to safe, hygienic drinking water for over 1 lakh people
- Reduced water-borne diseases and fluoride-related health issues
- Freed women and children from hours of daily water collection
Outcome
Clean water became a guaranteed public good—not a seasonal struggle
